I couldn't get it running on Ubuntu 11.10, but maybe that's due to my own techinical ineptitude. A friend and I built an AI drummer called <a href="https://github.com/Man-UP/monkey-drummer" rel="nofollow">MonkeyDrummer</a>, which is a probabilistic drummer that uses MIDI tracks as training data and then represents the changes between beats as a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markov_chain" rel="nofollow">markov chain</a>, which gave us a results we could jam to (we don't have a real drummer you see), I should really put together a video to better demonstrate it.
